Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi (1746-1827), who became famous as a school and social reformer, led an institute in Yverdon between 1805 and 1825, which was visited by pupils from far parts of Europe. Seven volumes of Copie de lettres have survived from this period, in which the outgoing correspondence of the institute was collected. This serial corpus of sources, which is available digitally on e-manuscripta.ch, documents not only financial issues related to the stay in Yverdon as well as everyday organizational issues, but also pedagogical and curricular issues. In a third-party funded project (2019-2022) financed by various foundations and the Lotterie Romande, this corpus of sources has been made accessible for research. In order to improve and considerably simplify the accessibility and researchability of the collection of letters, an index of names of the addressees was created and linked to the existing edition of Pestalozzi's letters and works to form a concordance. In addition, letters are continuously transcribed and put online.
